Ocean Kayak Yak Board

rated 4 of 5 stars A short, wide sit-on-top kayak that is very stable, turns on a dime, and is easy to transport and carry. Designed for surf, it is a fine fishing platform. The rugged build of this short and wide surfing kayak provides a go-anywhere platform for out of the way fishing spots. I have bashed rocks, floated through flooded timber, and explored small streams in the search for seldom fished waters around the Chicago area. Over time I have added anchor trolleys on each side allowing two anchors to hold… Full review

Ocean Kayak Malibu Two

rated 4 of 5 stars Great budget family kayak. Very stable, easily configured for two person with space for gear, or single person. Not the most comfortable kayak, but still good for an afternoon on a lake or river. I've bought two of these kayaks for my family of four. My two sons can hop on and take the kayak out on the lake with no issues, or the entire family can split between the two yaks and go for an afternoon paddle on the local river. These are big bulky kayaks that tend to not fit too great on those J hooks… Full review

Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 Angler

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I have the 12' model which I felt was necessary to also take this kayak into saltwater. It is full of features such as large storage in the front and 6" storage near the seat. Very comfortable and redesigned seat and with a track system in place for accessories like fish finders. Very stable platform and very well built with the angler in mind. At first glance you can see the attention to detail and functionality. Very thoughtfully laid out with the angler in mind with a large console for adding… Full review

Perception Access 11.5

rated 4 of 5 stars Very good kayak for anyone from beginners to seasoned veterans. Plenty of on deck space. Lots of cockpit room and deck rigging standard. First impressions: Nice, lightweight kayak. Easy to grab handles at the ends and hand holds in the sides. The handles front and rear are also molded into the kayak so no more handle hardware being pulled through the plastic. They are large and easy to grab and make for excellent tie down points for car-topping. You can easily lift this kayak up and load it on… Full review

Wilderness Systems Ripper

rated 5 of 5 stars Ripper kayaks are easy to transport, extremely maneuverable, and stable even in rougher waters. These 8-ft kayaks can take your water enjoyment to a new level. Go to the spots boats can't reach, fish from it, or just enjoy the beauty of your local rivers, creeks and bays. We have three of these Wilderness Ripper kayaks and have kayaked in them for almost ten years. They still are in as good a shape as when we first bought them...well, maybe a few cosmetic scratches here and there, but nothing else. Full review

Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 Angler

rated 3 of 5 stars Great kayak for fishing calm waters. Not so great for choppy or sea water due to the leaking hatches and hatch design. This makes the kayak unseaworthy for longer trips. Full review

Old Town Predator 13

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Excellent stable fishing platform. Overall a joy to fish out of. Very stable even with the seat in the high position. Easily maneuvered. Tons of dry storage area as well as rod storage via the center hatch.  It comes with replaceable mounting inserts for your rod holders, fish finders etc. If you mess up or decide to change up your mounts you can just replace the insert and start over. This thing does catch some wind, so a rudder would probably be on the list if you paddle in wind often. The boat… Full review

Native Watercraft Manta Ray 14

rated 4 of 5 stars The Native Manta Ray 14 is a high-quality fishing and touring kayak best suited for individuals looking for a watercraft capable of supporting extended paddling distances, fishing expeditions, and camping trips. The Native Watercraft Manta Ray 14' model is an excellent platform for serious kayakers who are looking for a platform that would support everything from fresh and saltwater fishing to extended trips requiring storage for camping equipment. The extended length, while adding weight, aids… Full review

Wilderness Systems Ride 135

rated 5 of 5 stars Very stable, and the high seat is very comfortable. Love this thing. Bought it for fishing and just paddling down a local river. The high seat makes being in it all day very easy. It is stable enough that I stand in it all the time while fishing (even when floating down a river). It is very well built, have owned it over a year now with a lot of on the water time with no issues. And it is very easily accessorized. Has lots of room for storage with the rear gear area, also the front hatch. The… Full review
