Backsider X-Fibre 35

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Packs small and light and keeps you warm. I have used mine down to 20 degrees with a liner. I have used my Backside on canoe trips in the Boundry Waters, Minn., and down the Eleven Point River in Missouri. I cannot pack as much as I used to so I appreciate the lower weight and the ability to compression bag it down to a small size. Never had an issue with being warm and I have used it with temperatures in the 20's. Full review

Blue Ice -50

rated 4.5 of 5 stars While a bit bulky to carry, there is no greater reassurance after a hard cold day on the trail than knowing you will be warm at night. Used it on a 2-week tobboggan trip with -30°F temp; an obviously appropriate use of such a bag. I also used it on a traverse of Labrador by canoe and foot. Even though it was September/October with lows only in the teens F, the bag was basically an insurance policy on a very challenging trip. I wouldn't bring 3 extra pounds of cook pots, but on a tough trip, I will… Full review

Back-It X-Fibre 15

rated 4 of 5 stars I bought this bag hoping to use it in the 20-40F range but found the rating wasn't really on par. The bag says it's rated to +15F but I would probably limit it to +30F. I used it this weekend where it dropped to +29F and I was just fine at first until I woke up in the middle of the night cold... I found that strange seeing that I was wearing two layers of dry clothes and a stocking cap. This was the first time I had been cold like this using a bag within 15 degrees of its limit. I think this bag… Full review

Down Under 0

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I have owned this bag for 3 years and it has made 2-3 winter trips in Minnesota - snowshoe backpack or sled & ski and 1-2 early spring/late fall trips each year. The bag is great! Well designed, superior materials, light weight & compresses very well. The 750 fill is no understatement. I use the bag in a bivy sack and properly clothed for chillin' night temps, I unintentionally have been down to minus 15 in it. This is a top quality bag and for the price you cannot beat it! I found The Backside… Full review

Backsider X-Fibre 35

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent bag! This bag's fill (The Backside's X-fibre) is very close to goose down in terms of weight and performance. The bag stuffs to the size of a football. Since I am allergic to down the X-fibre insulation is just perfect for me. I purchased this bag to take the chill out of Wisconsin's cool nights which are in the 40+ degree range. The Backsider bag is just the ticket for a comfortable nights sleep! This bag is very soft, the inside liner that is. It is polyester with an diamond ripstop… Full review
