The award winning Voile Charger skis are a sweet blend of progressive, powder ski design, and Voile's tradition of tough and light ski construction. The Chargers are very popular for good reason: they deliver a joyful skiing experience with their rockered and tapered tip, traditional sidecut and camber underfoot, and slightly raised, tapered tail. The stable, yet turny, Voile Charger will charge powder, crud and chop with reliable ease. Rockered tip design initiates turns almost by telepathy and keeps you out of trouble in troublesome snow Traditional sidecut underfoot carves turns nicely on groomers or hard pack Slightly raised tail releases from turns easier Cap construction and aspen wood core for lightweight strength Turn radius for 181 cm is 23m Handmade in Utah, USA
The Voile Charger skis combine early-rise tips with traditional camber underfoot for excellent performance in backcountry powder and the ability to carve hard snow on your way back to the car. Lightweight construction makes these skis a good choice for tours in deep snow; aspen wood cores are wrapped in fiberglass that is woven with carbon for a light, snappy feel. Early-rise tips help you float through the deep powder on the descent and ease trail breaking in deep snow during the ascent. Tails of the skis turn up just a touch and are compatible with the tail attachments of most climbing skins (sold separately). Traditional sidecut underfoot lets you carve turns on firm snow as you make your way out of the woods. Voile Charger skis have sintered bases that retain wax well and provide good glide. Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo.
Leave your skins at home and charge in all directions with the Voile Charger BC Ski. With the same killer dimensions as the Charger Ski, the Charger BC features an advanced, waxless base pattern that facilitates backcountry touring on flat or rolling ground and provides the ability to climb straight up moderate-angle ascents and traverse across steeper uphills without the hassle of having to use climbing skins. Clearly a game-changer in the touring ski industry, the BC offers optimal simplicity when you don't want to sacrifice the weight, space, or expense of skins. Designed with a tip rocker, regular camber underfoot, and slightly raised tail profile, the Charger BC floats through deep pow, busts through crud, and handles wet, manky snow like a boss. Thanks to its cap construction and lightweight aspen wood core, the Charger BC doesn't bog you down on long, epic backcountry tours. Cap construction also reduces weight for quick climbing and easy maneuverability. Its wide-radius sidecut gives you high-speed stability when you straightline out of a tight chute or scream down big-mountain lines. In other words, the Charger BC lightens the load and speeds up the pace while providing you with a girthy, rockered ski that charges big.
Using the rockered shape of a true powder ski, Voile created the Charger BC, a lightweight ski that has 112mm underfoot for easy turns on hardpack and wide enough for floaty pow runs. Built with an Aspen wood core with a scaly, waxless base for easy climbs without skinning-up, you can truly charge through all things the mountain offers with the rockered tip, raised tail, and traditional camber. Off-piste tours just got a lot more accessible.
