Uplander Boots

rated 5 of 5 stars Nice high top boots. I got these used on e-bay, so paid about half price for a lightly worn pair. Fit is great, lacing works well, and I think they will be good with both light and medium socks. They don't have great arch support, but are still comfortable. I would not use these for any serious hiking as I prefer a European hiking/mountaineering boot for that.   However, knocking around in the summer and fall these keep the cheat grass out of my socks, will last for years. They are also pretty… Full review

Tin Cloth Bush Hat

rated 5 of 5 stars This is an ideal solution for protection from the wind, rain, snow and sun in cold weather. The hat includes a wool flip down that covers the back of your head and your ears. It has kept me warm in temperatures down to 15°F. Here's a pic of my old Packer Hat (L) and the Filson Tin Cloth Bush Hat (R). Tin Cloth Packer Hat

rated 3 of 5 stars A trusty friend that I have put out to pasture. Filson's Tin Cloth Packer Hat is an unusual product in that it has the exceptional construction and quality that Filson is so well known for; yet the materials that give it such a great quality is also what ultimately fails. This is a difficult review to write. I love Filson products, and I do love this hat. However, I won't buy the Tin Cloth Packer hat anymore as I think there are better solutions. If you want something that's for cold weather, waterproof,… Full review

Cover Cloth Crushable Packer Hat

rated 5 of 5 stars I read a review on this site on the Filson Tin Cloth Packer hat and stumbled across the Filson store whilst visiting Portland, Oregon. I tried on the Tin Cloth Packer hat and it didn't appeal to me but then I found this hat and just had to have it! It's comfortable, keeps my head dry in the rain, it rolls up in my pack or suitcase (can be crushed if need be) and keeps my head warm in the cooler weather. It's probably not best used for a summer hat as the rim isn't too big to act as a sunshade and… Full review

Uplander Boots

rated 5 of 5 stars I'm rough on every thing. My grandfather used to say- "you could tear up an anvil in a sandpit" and he meant it. Whether it is hunting, fishing, working my plantation pines, or walking a brier infested fence line, my Filson Uplanders have kept my feet dry, safe, and warm. They are 15 years old and only seem to be getting better with time- something that most other items I own can't boast. Full review
