Five Ten worked with professional climbers Alex and Thomas Huber to redesign the classic Quantum Rock Shoes for all-around performance in just about any climbing setting.
Features of the Five Ten Men's Quantum Climbing Shoe Stealth C4 soles Clarino synthetic Upper Stiff and supportive Midsole Asymmetric last
PRODUCT DETAILS For the redevelopment of the classic Quantum, we worked with the Huber brothers, Alex and Thomas, to develop an all-around performance shoe for any climbing setting. We started with a StealthA(R) C4(TM) outsole, the Hubers tackle a diverse range of climbs with many different angles and rock textures and C4(TM) is our most versatile compound. The shoe has a stiff midsole and lined Clarino synthetic upper, so it stays comfortable for extended periods of wear. The tongue is a perforated ariaprene, which conforms to the foot and provides unmatched breathability. The Quantum is built on a new last; it is slightly downturned and a bit wider than our traditional downturned lasts allowing your foot to sit in a more natural position. KEY FEATURES StealthA(R) C4(TM) rubber outsole (4.2mm) Lined, synthetic Clarino upper No stretch Speed lace closure system Wider last Ariaprene tongue Stiffness Stiff GOOD FOR Steep, overhanging routes Bouldering Long climbing sessions
Some say the laws of physics are immutable, but the Five Ten Quantum Climbing Shoe is out to prove them wrong. The aggressively down-turned last shape and sticky Stealth Mystique rand allows this shoe to gobble up horizontal roofs and 45-degree boulders with ease. But unlike many steep-specific rock shoes, the Quantum also boasts a medium-stiff midsole and a Stealth Onyxx outsole that will crush dime edges after you pull the lip.
