Here's what other sites are saying:

From Moosejaw:
"On Sale. Free Shipping. Grivel Air Tech Light New-Matic Crampon (Fall 2009) The Air Tech Light Crampon by Grivel offers the same features as the Air Tech Crampon but it is built from light alloy materials that slash the weight by almost 50% (a mere 468 g without the anti-bott). It is exceptionally light without having sacrificed technical performance (within reason, of course). That said, one must not expect the same performance as that offered by ChroMoly steel. Air Tech Light is designed for ski mountaineering, adventure racing, general mountaineering (where hard snow is more likely to be encountered than rocks or hard water ice). Two different types of bindings are available: the New-Classic, which will fit virtually any type of footwear, it is delivered with the Flex-Regulation center bar to accommodate the most supple soles e.g. sneakers or light trekking shoes. And the New-Matic, which is designed for general mountaineering boots and is delivered with the ChroMoly steel center bar (which is why the New-Matic version weighs more). An XL center bar may be required to fit sizes larger than 11, depending on the type of footwear. Specifications: Weight: 572-668 gm Materials: Light Alloy Construction: 3D relief stamped Points: 12 Binding: New Matic Weight: 668 gm Binding: New Classic Weight: 572 gm"

From Backcountry.com:
"Grivel Air Tech Light Crampons are ideal mountaineering trips where cutting weight is a priority, but you still need acceptable performance. Also a favorite among ski mountaineers who must carry crampons but do not use them often, the Air Tech Light Crampons are made with aluminum instead of steel to cut weight to a scant 16.79oz. Though they shouldn't be expected to climb steep ice, they offer excellent performance on compact nieve. These Grivel crampons also have full-length front points for more secure travel on steeper terrain. Select the New Matic bindings for use with ski and mountaineering boots, or get the New Classic for the ability to strap these ultralight crampons on everything from big boots to running shoes."

From Campmor:
"The Air Tech Light crampon is built from light alloy materials that slash the weight by almost 50% compared to similar designs made of other materials (a mere 468g without the anti-bott). It is exceptionally light without having sacrificed technical performance. This crampon is designed for ski mountaineering, adventure racing, general mountaineering (where hard snow is more likely to be encountered than rocks or hard water ice). The new-classic binding includes the flex center bar to accommodate most footwear, including softer shoes. Includes active anti-balling plates to resist the dangerous accumulation of snow underfoot.Weight: 20.2oz (572g)."

From US Outdoor Store:
"Grivel Air Tech Light New Classic W/ABD FXThe combination of extremely strong and sophisticated materials, together with Grivel’s advanced technology lie behind the realisation of this crampon, which leaves all the other models on the market far behind."
