Grivel Rambo Evo and Rambo Comp Evo Crampons (Fall 2006) The Rambo Crampons by Grivel were the first to combine three-dimensional hot-forged front points with vertical axis side rails. The result was an extremely technical crampon that quickly became the reference point for use on hard ice and hard alpine routes. The hot-forged front points and vertical frame form a solid rail to improve penetration and reduce vibration. The exaggerated 3-dimensional shape of the front points alleviates shearing through rotten ice and increases point strength. The asymmetric shape of the frame fits curved soles and the sole adjustment system (SAS) adapts to the boot s rocker. The Rambo is delivered in a dual point configuration.
