Recent Kayak Paddle Reviews

Werner Skagit FG IM

rated 5 of 5 stars Great paddle...Great value. The Skagit FG IM is a great all around paddle. I don't think that you could find a better paddle at a better price. Yes, carbon would be lighter, but it would cost more also. Full review

Werner Cyprus

rated 5 of 5 stars Outstanding premium touring paddle, extremely well designed and built. Always a pleasure to use. I've been paddling with a Cyprus since 2011. Several two-week expeditions and many shorter trips.  Lots of day paddling. I'm a sea kayaking instructor. I initially purchased the Cyprus as a backup to my Werner Ikelos (also an excellent paddle) because I wanted something with a slightly smaller blade area for long days on the water with a heavy boat.  It quickly became my primary expedition paddle thanks… Full review

Bending Branches Infusion

rated 4 of 5 stars Great paddle very light. Bright color (I like to be seen on the water), if you know what I mean. Nice tapered grip. I have had this paddle and several other brands over the years and now it seems I always grab the Infusion over the others. It has a lot of miles on it and other than a few scratches on the blade it looks and acts as if it was brand new. Love how light this composite paddle is. The handles are slightly oval rather than round, which helps with maintaining grip position. Full review

Carlisle Expedition

rated 5 of 5 stars Fantastic! I love this paddle! Worth every penny! Its light weight fits nicely in your hand, so there is no blistering or rubbing. It doesn't get slippery when it's wet! I don't have a bad word to say about it! LOVE IT. Full review

Werner Shuna

rated 5 of 5 stars A strong, lightweight, adjustable paddle that is a joy to use. The Werner Shuna:Hooked (250cm) weighs in at 1 lb 14.5 oz (865 KG). Please check Werner's site for listed dimensions. As a new paddler, I was a bit leery of spending so much on a paddle. My mind was set at ease once I received the paddle and saw the quality put into the creation of this paddle. The adjustable ferrule works smoothly and holds firmly in place with no play once you have it set where you want it. The 15 ° increments give… Full review

Accent Vision Polymer

rated 5 of 5 stars This paddle does the trick—cuts the water and allows you to steer in the desired direction with ease. You don't have to break your back. Ive kayaked for years. I've used several brands of paddles. This brand is by far the best. I recommend to anyone looking to purchase a kayak paddle. No blisters, no sweat, this paddle cuts like a dream. Full review

Aqua-Bound Shred Carbon

rated 4 of 5 stars A carbon-fiber and ABX hybrid paddle that offers a lot of good for a very reasonable amount of dough! Simply put...if you have the money to spend on a great paddle...there are better paddles out there in the +$300 range...but this is one of the rare paddles which offers most of what better paddles offer for under $150. Where this paddle splurged you notice the difference...and where this paddle saved...you’ll never know it! Kayaking more often than not requires holding the paddle in the air for… Full review

Werner Skagit FG IM

rated 5 of 5 stars Great lightweight rec paddle. Bought this as my first paddle. It's the only one I kept! (now used as backup) For the price you can't beat it! It's lightweight and good for recreational touring/day trips. Full review

Werner Little Dipper Carbon

rated 5 of 5 stars Lightweight, smaller blade make paddling miles with this paddle a breeze! This is a great low angle touring paddle! It is lightweight and the smaller blades make paddling a breeze. The adjustable ferrule had small increments for easy selection. The only issue I found was the recessed take apart button can get jammed with sand if you are not careful. The blades are well made and with care (as with any carbon fiber paddle) with stand the abuses of daily paddles. I would recommend this paddle to any… Full review
