DMM Belay Master 2

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent product, vey well designed and made. it's perfect for the job (belaying/rappelling carabiner). Bought the Master 2 exclusively for my tube-type belay device and love it. I've used it now for a few weeks and plan to get a second one soon (backup in case of loss or theft). The "pivoting catch" assures me that my 'biner is locked properly and will not cross load whether belaying or rappelling. It's foolproof because of that folding catch and thus provides visual peace-of-mind for me and… Full review

DMM Revolver Screwgate

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great little pulley biner combo. The revolver is a great piece of kit for top roping and glacier travel. It cuts down on rope drag, and it is essentially a built-in pulley, which gives you a huge mechanical advantage especially as a secondary part to crevasse rescue kit. Only complaint is that it won't work with a Petzl Tibloc. Prussicks seem to go fine. Very durable and while the gate opening is a bit narrow, it is easy enough to figure out. Full review

Black Diamond Magnetron RockLock

rated 1.5 of 5 stars Large auto locking carabiner. Not worth this girl's money. I purchased this biner because of its size and the magnetic catch. I like a larger biner for a double line munter (as a backup plan in case something goes wrong with my Reverso). I thought it may pose a problem for ice but that was not the issue. The magnetic catch is not an ergonomic fit for me. I have small to medium woman's hands and when I reach for release it is just out of my grasp. Only by millimetres! What a pain in the butt! I then… Full review

Simond Spider Screwgate

rated 5 of 5 stars Lightweight, excellent screwgate locker that has a perfectly shaped nose to make clipping extremely easy. The best locking beiner for personal anchor systems at the top of a long difficult route. This carabiner is the best I have used to attach a personal anchor system at the top of a route. The nose is shaped in a way that it is quite open (bent out) compared to other screwgate lockers, so clipping is extremely easy. The diameter of the carabiner is around  a medium sized thickness. Since the… Full review

Metolius Element Belay Carabiner

rated 2 of 5 stars *Dislike. I marked this biner, used it once, and retired it to the shelf. Thankfully, I only bought one. The gate takes too many spins and it doesn't spin freely.   Full review

Black Diamond Mini Pearabiner

rated 5 of 5 stars Easy to lock/unlock. One of my favorites. I can lock/unlock this with the flick of a thumb.   Full review

DMM Revolver Screwgate

rated 5 of 5 stars Found these great biners from a friend!!! Greatest biner ever made for cutting down rope drag. The little roller works great for rope drap on routes that zig zag  or over ledges. Use a little longer runner on your quickdraws and never worry about it again. Also the locker works great for setting up a top rope on fixed belays. Full review

Black Diamond GridLock Screwgate

rated 1.5 of 5 stars It's a great idea But the bottom Grid lock is too small. It's very hard to clip into your harness when seting up a belay. It's great if you're standing on the ground but on a simi hanging belay or hanging forget!!! Don't buy it, too hard to clip in to your harness, and adjust for the belay!!! Full review

Petzl Go Oval Maillon

rated 5 of 5 stars 25kN for 2oz! In a Frog Ascending system, this is an excellent product to use. It's extremely strong for its weight, and you can slip several of these into your pocket. The gate is too narrow to slip onto a standard climbing rope (that is not its purpose.). I find they can be difficult to thread, which is why I carry a small wrench in my climbing bag. Full review
