- L.L.Bean

Like a less-temperamental floating camel, the Old Town Dirigo Tandem Plus Kayak carries two people and their gear across whatever body of water you point it at. Unlike your usual camel, though, it has a friendly, stable, and forgiving nature that makes it easy and fun to paddle on lakes, ponds, rivers, and even gentle oceans, as well as a cushioned seat and adjustable foot braces that are way more comfortable than anything you're likely to find crossing the Gobi. The Dirigo's long and relatively slim shape lets it slice through the water with barely a ripple, and the removable child seat makes it easy to bring the whole family along for the ride. A stern Click Seal hatch and center Glove Box hatch make safely bringing a day's worth of gear no problem whatsoever, and the molded cup holder and paddle keeper let you seriously relax in a way that you never could if you were hanging on to a badly-behaved Bactrian beast.
