Here's what other sites are saying:

Paddling a big boat might make your little rascals grow up big and strong like their dad, but it'll also make them grumpy, sad, and exhausted before they've been at it for 10 minutes. If you want to turn your days on the water from character-building complain-fests to fun-filled splash-a-thons, the kid-specific Old Town Heron Jr. Kayak is the boat to do it, with a lighweight, kid-sized design that'll have the munchkins racing circles around your big, ponderous container ship of a kayak. The Heron Jr. tracks well for easy paddling, and maneuvers as quickly as a friendly mongoose to minimize the time they spend stuck in the reeds (of course, no force on earth can eliminate reed run-ins entirely). There's an internal foam billet so they can't send the Heron Jr. to the bottom of the lake when they tip it over, and a comfortable seat to keep their butts happy. Best of all (for them, anyway) is the Tag Along Tow System, which allows the Heron Jr. to easily hook up to another boat so they can catch a relaxing ride around the pond while you get in that extra workout.
