Stormy Kromer The Original Cap

rated 5 of 5 stars What a great winter hat! Being from New England, I was unfamiliar with the historical legacy of this Midwestern hat company, and had seen the hat only on photos posted on social media by fellow winter adventurers. Well, this hat is amazing...high quality, great comfort, specific sizing, and very warm. I have used it for winter hiking, snowshoeing, and just being outside in wet, miserable weather. Highly recommended! I love my Stormy Kromer. Disclosure...when I first heard I had won this hat, I was… Full review

Loki Fleece 3 in 1 Hat

rated 5 of 5 stars This hat is a comfortable must have in your pack. The fit of this hat is very good, not perfect, but then most one size items are not perfect. The color selection is good. This fleece hat is lightweight, warm, and converts into a hood and a neck gaiter. You can also loosen the top and vent if needed. It also can be worn around the top of the head too as a band. This hat is really a must have in your pack or your jacket. Full review

Arc'teryx Phase AR Beanie

rated 4 of 5 stars The small band does work, but the hat itself does not form to my head as well as others that I have used. It does let moisture out, but it will not keep your head warm in very windy conditions. I bought this for ascending mountains. Size S/M Full review

Icebreaker Mogul Hat

rated 5 of 5 stars Best beanie I've ever had, and I'm a hat guy. At the moment I own two, after losing one. I got my first one about 8 years ago, and had it for 7.5 years. It was my only hat. It feels great on my head, never too warm, always enough, whether as a liner under my ski helmet, hiking, and as a go-to hat. The most amazing thing about it, is that I use it on a daily basis. It doesn't come of my head for 8 hours straight, and it doesn't stink or itch.  By far the best beanie I've had, and I am a hat guy. Full review

Wigwam Thinsulate Beanie

rated 5 of 5 stars This is the #1 prized possession in my pack. I carry it 365 days a year, no matter how hot things are supposed to get. It is flexible, lightweight, and warm. I love love love this beanie. Unbeknownst to me, one of my kids stuffed it in a book bag in her closet, and I couldn't find it. I went to REI and bought a new one within the day. I must have this beanie around all the time. Now, I have two of them! One is always in my backpack ready to go, the other in the car.  It is comfortable and warm. Full review

Ibex Meru Hat

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The perfect beanie to wear under a helmet or when you are working hard in the cold. The fact is that, without a hat this day I would have been very hypothermic. I love wearing my Trailspace logo running cap so when Alicia sent me the beanie I was double stoked because now I can rep TS in the cold as well. My favorite thing on the trail is getting asked, "What is Trailspace?" A very, very wet day on Mount Baker. I sweat so much that I poured sweat out of my ski boots once I got to camp. This hat… Full review

Outdoor Research Flurry Beanie

rated 5 of 5 stars A great 3-season, any-weather hat. The Outdoor Research Flurry Beanie was my go-to hat on a trip literally around the entire country. 6,500 driving and hiking miles later this is still my go-to. I rarely take it off unless I am in the office or it's summer time.  This hat is moisture wicking, so it can be used in warmer weather and is great while being active. The "Flatlock Seam Construction" is great because you can't see the seams, they don't protrude off your head, and the inner fleece liner… Full review

Outdoor Research Frostline Hat

rated 1 of 5 stars This hat has great features and genius to the design, but the velcro straps are so bad as to outweigh all the other good features. I suggest DON'T buy it. The hat is light years ahead of a Dome Perignon, but alas I am 1 or 2 years too soon for this fancy new hat technology because they used velcro instead of high quality metal snap buttons, which would be ideal. I hope they revise it to eliminate the velcro and put on metal snap buttons. Full review

Mountain Hardwear Dome Meritage

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent warmth, great wind block, super ear coverage, and super comfy material. I've bought this for my girlfriend on sale and went back to get one for myself! If you are seeing one around on sale, grab it. It's warm, blocks wind, and covers my ears like no other hat, even my Icebreaker.  Full review
