Nathan Intensity

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Nathan Intensity running vest is an excellent woman-specific pack for running medium to long distances. With a 70-ounce reservoir and pockets for gels and chews, it has plenty of capacity to cover several hours on the run year-round. Plus, it’s comfortable for hours and stable with no bounce. Best For: I highly recommend the Nathan Intensity to other women who run at least several hours at a time on trails or roads. Men may want to check out the HPL 020 model. Fit The Nathan Intensity is a… Full review

Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir

rated 5 of 5 stars A great reservoir! And easy maintenance. Here is another great product by Osprey! This product comes in both 2L and 3L, mine of which being the 3L, and it is held well, and offers plenty of water for the backcountry. I've had a few reservoirs, and this one is my favorite to date.   It fits into multiple packs well, even at 3Ls.  Including a Talon 22, which is not the largest pack, but 3L is held just fine; as well as my Kid Carrier by a different brand (which I was a little leery of the fit, but… Full review

CamelBak Day Star

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Best as a daypack for light hiking, day trips, overnights, and city exploring. Also usable for commutes and school. Fit: Women and teens. The straps fit very well on large to mid-size chests. Adjustable shoulder straps and light chest strap.  Capacity: Hydration pocket fits two liter-bladder. The larger pocket can fit enough regular clothing for 2-3 nights or heavier outdoor gear for 1 night. It can also fit smaller textbooks and up to a 14-inch laptop. The smaller pocket is ideal for any smaller… Full review

CamelBak Chute Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars Great all around water bottle for any occasion. Double mouth for easy sipping and ice is great. Only downfall is that it isn't insulated. I've had this water bottle ever since the day it was released. I use it every day and it has held up against all that I've put it through. It's very durable and has withstood the many times I've dropped it. Its widemouth is perfect for when I want to fill it with ice, as it allows ice to be poured right in. The smaller mouth on top is also extra convenient as… Full review

Ultimate Direction PB Adventure Vest

rated 5 of 5 stars I rarely write a review where I don't have a con. I looked long and hard for one on this piece of gear, but really couldn't find it, at least in functionality. I'm a bigger runner, so I notice that you must get the bigger size with this product or it just will be too small. I love the amount of gear it can carry, very versatile if you don't want to put a bottle in you can use that pocket for a myriad of other uses.   Great gear for both road and trail. Highly recommend.   Full review

Sea to Summit Pack Tap

rated 2.5 of 5 stars This is a great product that served me well for two years of about once monthly use. I was loving the ease of use and the ability to carry so much more water. It was all going well till out on a hike the Pack Tap started leaking around the seam that the opening attached to the bag with. I can no longer use it as it leaks too rapidly. Luckily it broke on me on my last day of the hike and I had another bottle with me to use. Full review

Blackhawk! Barrage Hydration Pack

rated 4 of 5 stars A heavy-duty "military style" 3-day pack that is designed to last forever, no matter what you do with it. Although BlackHawk! categorizes it as a hydration pack, I believe the hydration bladder is a small portion of this pack. I purchased this pack prior to a deployment overseas in 2008 and it still looks brand new today. In between being an every day carry item thru Kuwait and Afghanistan, it has also been used as a day pack for hikes and hunting. As well as a great commuter bag and travel bag. … Full review

Nalgene 32 oz Narrow Mouth Tritan

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Used on the trail for a long time, but there are many more lightweight options now so I use it at work and day-to-day now. Full review

Platypus Hoser

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great reservoir, no taste or smell, and no leaks. I've been a hiker for a while now and have always used a simple Nalgene bottle, but finally gave in and purchased this 3L Platypus reservoir to go in a reservoir compatible day pack I already owned.   My first issue was that the sleeve in the day pack was too small for this enormous water bladder. Once I got it situated in my pack and routed the hose I was all set. The advantage of course is that when I want a drink I don't have to try and contort… Full review
