Platypus SoftBottle

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I got a .5 L Platypus softbottle to work with my Sawyer Mini water filter. The Platypus works great - I've had no problems with leaks, and the bottle fits my Sawyer perfectly. It seems like a higher quality bladder than the bladders that come with Sawyer Minis. I recommend this set-up to my backpacking friends who want a durable, easy-to-use filter system I've had my Platypus for almost a year and have brought it on 5 different weekend backpacking trips. Although it's only seen moderate use, it's… Full review

Platypus SoftBottle

rated 5 of 5 stars Great for helping to filter water. I use the soft bottle with my Sawyer Mini to filter unclean water. The top thread screws right into the Sawyer for a tight seal. I modified the bottom end of the softbottle and attached some paracord so that I can hang it upside-down with the Sawyer Mini screwed on the end and let gravity push the water through the filter and into a Nalgene bottle I have. It's not the fastest way but it will drip 1 quart (32 ounces or almost 1 liter) of water every 30-40 minutes… Full review

Platypus Platy Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars Well made, lightweight, and easy to clean. Sorry I didn't find this bottle sooner. Used to carry water bottles. Then I ran across the Platypus PlatyBottle. Advantage is that as the water is consumed, the bottle gets smaller. I can put it in my pack and it takes up less room. Also, I carry four of these, so when I camp far from a stream, I can fill them and be able to cook and do cleanup without having to make three more trips down to the water source. Best thing of all, is that these container add… Full review

Platypus Platy Bottle

rated 4 of 5 stars Sooner or later backpackers will encounter "dry days" where there is no natural water source available during the day or perhaps not until the following day. The Platypus folding water bottles are perfect for just these situations. I live in the Desert Southwest and often encounter times both in the desert and even in Western mountain ranges when my 2 liter hydration bladder and 3/4 liter bike bottle will not be enough for a "dry day" with no water sources other than what I carry. Plus your dry… Full review

Platypus Platy Bottle

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Awesome for long hikes where no water is available except what you carry. The Platy Bottle holds plenty of water for long hikes. It's extremely easy to use, is held in my backpack and clips the straw to my backpack front straps for easy use.  Allow me to hydrate more often and is well made. Would highly recommend this product for long hikes. Full review

Platypus Platy Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars Perfect for day trips!! Great for our family scouting adventures. I love how lightweight this is and when it's not being used you can roll it up and it takes up very little space. I like to fill it half way with water and freeze it before a day hike then fill the rest with water. Then as it melts my water is still cold and refreshing. Full review

Nalgene Oasis Canteen

rated 5 of 5 stars Holds as much water as the normal round, traditional Nalgene but fits much better in the side pockets of my backpack and doesn't bulge into the backpack as much, thereby reducing the inside volume of the backpack. I've been using a couple of these for the last year in place of my traditional round Nalgene bottles.  Their design fits better in the side pockets of my backpack, especially my 28L Marmot day pack. Even though they looker smaller, they actually hold as much water as the traditional round… Full review

Trailspace Innate Motus Top Reviewer Water Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars This container is best used by the most experienced of Trailspace’s gear reviewers as a recognition of their multifold achievements in the face of challenging outdoor conditions. It should be proudly displayed on mantles and as ornaments on the dash of their chariots as they head for the hills. Background: One of, if not the, most important practices in staying healthy and safe in the out of doors is proper hydration. This means carrying and drinking regularly a fluid that provides water at the… Full review

Trailspace Innate Motus Top Reviewer Water Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars Received my 2014 Top 25 Reviewer Award Trophy (water bottle) today and it has found a home next to my Academy Award, Nobel Peace Prize, and Augusta National Green Jacket. I'll cherish it forever! Kidding aside, I wanted to thank Alicia, Dave, and Seth for such a great site and for hosting a great, outdoor enthused (and participating) community. Over 30,000 reviews have been posted and the variety is staggering.   I'd like to encourage all the other subscribers to continue with your postings, even… Full review
