Guide Pack

rated 4 of 5 stars This light, old-school day pack is great for people who want a low profile pack with plenty of tie-down options. Made for climbing, this pack should prove to be very durable. It has light but very comfortable shoulder straps and a removable lid and back pad for those who want to minimize weight. Unpadded hip belt and crude hydration accommodations might not thrill some people. I purchased the Guide pack a year ago because most of my 'day' packs were larger, heavier, and made to carry more weight. Full review

Epic Hooded Windshirt

rated 5 of 5 stars My Wild Things wind shirt served me well in Antarctica, among other places where I have used it. Windshirts are a frequently overlooked clothing item when headed outdoors, despite the fact that they can be worn over fleece, softshells, sweaters, and other clothing to block wind while still providing lots of breathability. They often provide some water repellency adequate for a light drizzle and dry rapidly. They are usually very light and can be stuffed readily in a pocket (including their own pocket). Full review

Custom Insulight Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Wild Things (WT for short) is offering its customers the opportunity to custom design a synthetically insulated jacket. This is a hard jacket to summarize as you could design it for an infinite number of configurations and uses. I designed mine as a belay jacket, in other words the last insulating layer for stops in activity. Keep this in mind when reading this review as my expectations are shaped and influenced with this use in mind. The jacket I ordered, in a size large, does not not fit over… Full review

Epic Halfzip Windshirt

rated 4.5 of 5 stars My go-to apparel for trail running and backpacking. The Wild Things Epic Halfzip windshirt is my favorite piece of clothing for trail running and backpacking. Strap it down to the outside of my pack and off I go. Sure, there are lighter windshirts available, but I really like Epic fabric and the cut. The slim fit is perfect for running and is not bulky under a pack. The minimalist design cuts the weight down and there is less stuff to deal with or worry about failing. There are no pockets, which… Full review

Guide Pack

rated 5 of 5 stars As a ski mountaineer/alpinist this is the perfect day pack. It follows the tried and true design of a good pack, top loading, two compression straps, and removable lid. The weight is what sold me, it's light. Remove the lid when you need less space and it's even lighter. The fabric isn't going to last a lifetime but it'll take a heavy beating when skiing trees or hauling it while climbing. Being fairly tall, it would be nice to have a longer version, but it still fits great. The waist strap is perfect,… Full review
