310 Skill GT

rated 5 of 5 stars Superb compact, world class quality boot that equals a heavier bigger backpacker boot with a much lower profile. Just got these. Use them for everyday running around in an urban environ plus photo treks that go from messed up alleys and sidewalks to malls to desert to trails to beach sand to demolished urban areas—anything in other words. Haven't had a chance to test the durability as I just got them, but I've got some pretty expensive euro backpacking boots such as Hanwag, Alico, etc. and these… Full review

130 SH Crosser GTX RR

rated 5 of 5 stars Worth every cent. I bought a pair of these last summer being somehow reluctant about this purchase because of my previous experience with Salomon Speedcross 3 that did not deliver as promised at all (even though these where a gift so...).I wear them as casual shoes in the city and also for some light backpacking when the inclination is low. Also the breathing is very good, keeping sweat to a minimum. The toe and heel area is reinforced with rubber for added protection against rocks. On the sides,… Full review

Tofane GT RR N.W.

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Superb Norwegian welted leather boot. Just crazy attention to detail and quality. Yes, your first car cost less, but these are the Ferrari of hiking boots. Love these. I wear them even when a lighter boot would be more than adequate.  Just very comfortable, great grip and trail feel for a stiffer heavier boot. I have read complaints about the toe rand coming loose, but mine have not even after two years of hard use. The fit is superb. I have two very different feet and have no trouble accommodating… Full review

996 Vioz GT

rated 2.5 of 5 stars Fantastic fit. Most comfortable full leather boot I have ever had. But alarmingly prone to slipping on wet rocks. I bought these for winter hiking mostly, and found them to be superb for this. In the spring I wore them on a hike with my wife and noticed that they would slip without warning on smooth rock if even slightly wet. I do not mean the typical tendency to slip from wet conditions. I mean a solid feeling grip that would suddenly and unexpectedly let go. I would have figured I was just having… Full review

Trekking Medium Weight Socks

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Excellent pair of technical socks that keep feet (mostly) dry! Having a good outdoors experience greatly depends on the boots you're wearing. I believe that boots comprise 80% and socks the rest 20% of this experience. And 20% is a lot... No matter how breathable your boot/shoe may be your comfort still relies on the direct-to-skin component: your sock. Your skin breathes, even when you're standing still, let alone hiking. Your feet sweat, the sock soaks, and the skin starts to get wrinkly and soft… Full review
