Columbia Men's Pour Osity Stretch Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Very light and breathable jacket. A fantastic alternative to a Gore jacket. This is a fantastic lightweight jacket. Quite durable feeling and the fit is excellent (6'2", 185lbs, Medium does it). Didn't even notice it was raining out today. It layers perfectly with TurboDown 650, and I'm excited to wear the combo next winter! Full review

Luke's Ultralite Silnylon Rain Shell

rated 4 of 5 stars A superb, truly waterproof and lightweight rain jacket. I had Luke add two hand pockets, adjustable wrist cuffs, and pit zips for venting and it still weighs only 5.1 ounces and stuffs into the stuff sack provided (or one of the pockets). I've owned a couple different silnylon rain jackets over the years, but they all had two weaknesses that caused me to not wear them very much: condensation (lack of venting) and no hand pockets. Conditions: I received this jacket in late November 2014 and have worn it whenever reasonably possible: multiple light rain hikes with a pack; three ~2-mile hikes in heavy rain (one with day-pack, two without); a full day of consistent, moderate rain while hunting; and even in warm winter days (40+°F) with no rain but where a light jacket was needed to break small amounts of wind. Marmot Men's PreCip Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Great lightweight cheap rain jacket. Fantastic rain jacket. So much so that after losing my first one a month ago, I have just forked out for a replacement. I have also $400 eVent jacket sitting in my cupboard and use it for day to day wear.   I picked the Precip as I really wanted a jacket made from breathable material and that's properly vented. I have walked in the rain just in a t-shirt all too often because of overheating. This jacket solved that problem and at a reasonable price. Full review
