Just In Case 5-Day Kit

rated 5 of 5 stars I first used the product because it was an easy way to get meals on the trail while backpacking. Now, I continue to use them because of the taste and amazing shelf life! As a Ranger with TheDyrt, I sometimes get the chance to try out different products and recently had the opportunity to try out some more Mountain House meals. I've used these freeze dried meals before, and was excited to get some more in to my backpacking closet. When I first started backpacking about 10 years ago I ran to these… Full review

Lasagna with Meat Sauce Pro-Pak

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Easy to make and a very tasty option for long hikes and backpacking trips. It is great because it saves room and weight in your pack. This is a great option for long backpacking trips or even quick camping trips. I got several different entrees of Mountain House meals to test as a Ranger for The Dyrt. It was easy to make and tasted great. I like the Pro-Pak versions. They seem a little light and take up less space. I tried this meal out at a campground in Michigan at Ludington State Park. It is… Full review

Scrambled Eggs with Bacon

rated 1 of 5 stars Walk, no, run away from these! Do not buy these, do not try these, they are nasty. The only "camping meal" worse then this is the dreaded MRE Veggie omelet. These taste like shame and regret, which happens to share flavors with cardboard and packing peanuts. My favorite brands in order are Good To-Go, Pack It Gourmet, Mountain House, Outdoor Herbivore, Hawk VittleS, Backpacker's Pantry, AlpineAire, MRE. These do not stand up to MH's typical quality. What's weird is that the Breakfast Skillet is… Full review

Chicken and Dumplings

rated 5 of 5 stars Tasty, filling, and so EZ to make. All Mountain House entrees are fully cooked and then freeze dried to retain all important nutrients and flavor. Just add boiling water, and you will have a hot, tasty meal in less than 10 minutes (cold or room temperature water can be used, but it will increase the rehydration/reconstitution time to about 20 minutes) This one might even be tastier than the Mountain House Noodles and Chicken pouch (2.5 servings). Biscuits and Gravy

rated 5 of 5 stars Tasty breakfast, quick and EZ. Nothing is better than a hearty breakfast in the morning and this one tastes like Grandma made it. Just add boiling water, and you will have a hot, tasty breakfast in less than 10 minutes (cold or room temperature water can be used, but it will increase the rehydration/reconstitution time to about 20 minutes).
