Give-N-Go Sport Mesh Brief

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Light and comfortable with no chafing, for all-day wear. I get hot when I hike, no doubt about it. Even in snow, if I'm on a steep slope going uphill, I am hot. I saw these as a new product on the REI website, and decided to give them a whirl. The fit was great for me, and the mesh fabric felt very light and airy. On day long hikes, they were very cool and breathable, and I experienced no chafing. Even on multi-day backpack trips, I was never conscious of them being there, but they stayed comfortable… Full review

Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars Best underwear ever. Period. I kept reading reviews about these and finally pulled the trigger on a pair from REI. Great move on my part, now I have replaced ALL of my boxer briefs with these. I wear them every day, at work, on the trail, at the gym they are my all purpose go to "draws".  These wick like crazy and stay dry even during strenuous workouts or long hikes. My only gripe and its a relatively minor one, they could offer a little more support than what they do (mostly important for running… Full review

Dryfly Flex Shirt

rated 4.5 of 5 stars When the sun is shining bright, this shirt shines even brighter. With its mesh-lined vertical back vents, UPF 30 and quick-drying and moisture wicking properties, this shirt has saved me from getting scorched and overheating during the dog days of summer. Conditions: This shirt was originally purchased for my wedding, in which I wore it with my REI Adventures pants and my Chaco Z/1 Unaweep sandals. It was an outdoor wedding (no shade during the ceremony) in the heat and humidity of mid-August, so… Full review

Sol Cool Crew Long Sleeve Shirt

rated 3 of 5 stars I'm generally a huge fan of ExOfficio clothing, but maybe not this time. Perhaps I'm expecting too much, a shirt that can actually keep me cooler in East Texas summer heat, but that is what the mfg description claims. But under most summer conditions here, it ain't happenin'. Imagine my excitement when I read about this magic shirt that claims to not only protect the wearer from the sun's rays, but can actually keep you cooler in summer heat than std summer wear.   I spend a fair amount of time… Full review

Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 4.5 of 5 stars These might replace every pair of underwear you own. Okay, maybe not at $25 a pair, but they are comfortable, lightweight, incredibly fast at wicking away moisture and quick drying. Yep, they are that good. When I purchased my first pair of these in 2009, I would have said $25 is rather expensive for a pair of underwear and would have listed that as a con. Today, as I see other performance underwear being sold for $30-$50, I realize that $25 is reasonable and well worth the investment. If you're… Full review
