SOUL 7

rated 5 of 5 stars Does nearly everything brilliantly. There was a time when I took three pairs of skis with me to the mountains: piste, powder, and touring skis. Each was ideal for their niches, and I really couldn't imagine a day when one ski could do all three. Although I have tested far from every type of ski, the Soul 7 just nails it for me. A terrific carving ski, even/especially on boilerplate pistes, just a dream in powder, crud, breakable crust, and good for touring. If it fails to fit the 'one size fits… Full review

BC X-2

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Seems to be a good value so far. I got these boots as part of a X-C package purchased from L.L. Bean and I'm happy with the products I got. After changing the boot laces to round hiker type all is well. I'd recommend these boots to my friends. Full review

BC X6

rated 5 of 5 stars Great balance of warmth, support stiffness and waterproofness! A great do anything system boot to explore the backcountry or rip up the groomed cross-country centers. I needed a sturdy pair of backcountry skiing System boots to replace my two-year-old Fischer BC x6 boots that delaminated at the sole after only two years. ┬áIt would be a tall order since when first tried the Fischers were very warm and supportive and stiff enough to drive turns on medium width BC skis. As soon as I tired these on… Full review

BC 125 Positrack

rated 5 of 5 stars I live in Alaska and bought the BC 125s to get away from the lift lines and crowds. I put Voile Switchback bindings on them and use the Scarpa T4 boot. Awesome setup, I call it the 4 x 4 of cross country skis. I use them mostly on rolling terrain and they work great. Just broke in 2 miles of new trails behind my house and was amazed at how well they floated. Put the binding in ski mode and it locks the toe down; this is great for the downhill sections of trail. I highly recommend the Switchback… Full review

Evo Tour NIS

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Rented a pair of these at Stump Sprouts Cross Country center and Inn in Charlemont, Mass., during winter 2010-2011 and enjoyed them a lot. This center has a wooded mix of trails and the owner grooms the trails to connect with the paths of a State Forest, so I used them both in and out of track. They broke trail well and seemed to float well in the powder and were very fast in set track. A little sketchy on icier snow, but many great skis are. Full review
