Lunar Solo LE

rated 5 of 5 stars With protection along the "skirt" and the screen door, there is no need for the extra weight of further mosquito netting. If a wind shift is encountered during the night, the tent can be turned around without much effort. Memorize the best way to set up this tent to prevent a low sag between the ties. Once you learn the system, a taut pitch is one of the nice features. To help out, I added two more tie-out points along the longest edges. Look online for ways to make tie-out using elastic tubing… Full review

Skyscape Trekker

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Here it is...I finally found my tent. Kinda went crazy this year in my search for the right tent, but finally found it. About me: 55-ish year old, 5'10" tall, overweight (190 lb and all in the beer belly), upper-intermediately experienced backpacker. Been backpacking all my life since before Boy Scouts in the early '70s to present. Due to injuries and some physical issues (read: fat, old and lazy, mostly) I don't get out as much as I used to or would like to and have been transitioning from “Old… Full review

Lunar Solo LE

rated 3 of 5 stars This is the tent for you if absolute lightness is your only criteria. I used this tent a few times, and moved on to slightly heavier tents that are easier to set up, need a smaller site, and have a higher ceiling.  The core problem is that if you're relatively tall, like me, it's absolutely impossible to sit up in this tent without brushing the ceiling. It cannot be done. And because like all single-wall tents it does condense, this means that my head got wet. Every. Single. Morning. I think you… Full review

Fusion 50

rated 4.5 of 5 stars FINALLY, the pack I've been looking for! Lightweight, but tough and can carry everything needed for 3-5 days...and a little more. **UPDATE 7/6/16**  So, the buddy that got the Fusion 65 from me, the one that's actually 6'6" and weighs about 185 lb (ya, he's that skinny with a 24" torso), FINALLY got out and used it a couple of times...once on a trip together with me and another friend.  The second friend and I were both amazed at how the Fusion 65 stayed with his didn't move...when… Full review

Lunar Solo LE

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Simple to set up, very light and roomy tent for one. Used it on a three-nighter in the Mokelumne Wilderness (lower elevations). Temperatures ranging from highs in the 70s during the day to mid 30s overnight. Some very minimal rain one night, but windy during the day with sustained winds of about 20mph and gusts in the 40-45mph range with the wind letting up between 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. I can't believe I got pictures of everything associated with this trip EXCEPT this tent! The tent was set up on a… Full review
