Manufacturer's Description

Easton’s ATR-80 Aluminum is the ultimate lightweight performance trekking pole, featuring durable construction with three-tier adjustability and Easton Mountain Product’s new Vi-Brake™ vibration dampening grip.

The Vi-Brake™ grip with anti-vibration technology was designed from the ground up to reduce shock energy transferred to hikers’ hands. The key to Vi-Brake is the 360-degree all-axis dampening gel within an ergonomic molded grip to isolate the grip from shock and pole vibration. This is unlike other models on the market that only have single-axis linear spring shocks that move in one direction.

Description Of Easton Technical Products ATR-80 Trekking PolesEaston has been developing high-performance sports equipment since 1922. Today, virtually every Everest expedition relies on Easton tent tubes and Easton poles are found in Marines Corp. survival shelters. Easton is the serious choice when performance matters. With innovative vibration-dampening grips, durable 7075 aluminum construction, easy-to-use locking mechanisms and swappable baskets, Easton ATR-80 Aluminum Vi-Brake trekking poles are built for year-round backcountry performance.Ergonomically molded grips contain a shock-reducing gel that absorbs vibration in every direction, resulting in dampening that surpasses the performance of the linear-spring shock absorption mechanisms in many trekking poles. Extended-length, ergonomic, EVA foam provides a comfortable contact point and integrated straps further reduce stress on your wrists. Swappable summer and winter baskets are included to equip ATR-80 Aluminum Vi-Brake poles for all-season use.Far easier to adjust than the internal locking mechanisms used by many telescoping poles, innovative Easton RockLock clamps fuse pole sections into position with ease. Adjust the RockLock by simply rotating the buckle lever to the desired position, re-engaging the toggle joint, and snapping the lever closed. Once set to the desired tension, the lever can be locked and unlocked for collapsing the pole without losing locking tension.Sold in pairs, Easton ATR-80 Aluminum Vi-Brake trekking poles weigh 23.0 oz per pair.
