Herman Men's Survivor

rated 5 of 5 stars I have put them through hell. They have held up to every job and are still completely waterproof. I have run over 500 miles in them for cross-country running and worked for close to two years doing everything from roofing to concrete. I have to say they are the best boots I've ever owned. The finishing of them were welding. but I knew better.   Full review

Chaco Men's Beckwith

rated 1 of 5 stars Beyond terrible. The Chaco Beckwith is hands down the worst piece of outdoor equipment I've ever owned. Despite spending 3 hours in the store with weight, on an actual trail these boots caused the worst heel blistering I've ever encountered, derived entirely by a reinforced heel cup that was as inflexible as steel. Any incline whatsoever forced the heel into this cup with brutal efficiency. Three miles into my first hike and my heels were bloody nubs. Not only was the Beckwith terrible, the company… Full review

Herman Men's Survivor

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Really upset with this brand. I don't recommend to anyone!!!!! Waste of money and they fall apart on first uses and hurt your feet!!! Stupid...grrrrr:(!!!!! Worst brand ever!!! They are cheap and just want your money. Full review

Oboz Men's Wind River

rated 3.5 of 5 stars All in a all, a very high quality boot. This boot fits great, looks great, and preforms well above average. There is no doubt when I take a step that it will be solid. The sole is just right stiff after three months of use at work to break in (lots of ladder work and all weather conditions native to Southeast). They still feel brand new. If I have any negatives it would be the temperature—they are hot in summer and cold in winter (Granted I'm only wearing short cotton socks so I'll let you… Full review

Salomon Women's Quest 4D 2 GTX

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Very comfortable, minimal break-in time, waterproof, warm. Grip not the best on snow or ice. I've used these for hiking, backpacking, and climbing with and without crampons, on dry trail, muddy and wet trail, and alpine conditions. They are very comfortable boots, are fairly light, have good support and cushioning, and have taken some abuse with no ill effects. They are definitely waterproof and warm enough for snow (but still breathe well enough to be cool in warm weather), and clean up like… Full review

Meindl Men's Borneo

rated 5 of 5 stars Great quality hiking boot made in Germany These are relatively lightweight (880 grams), all leather, versatile hiking boot that are rated "B" by Meindl, as an average surface hiking boot. I use it for day hiking and have tested it in the snows of Maine all winter.   It is leather lined, not Gore-tex, which means the leather lining has been molding to my foot. The fit reminds me of a well-fit and well broken into ice skate, which, for players, feels like an extension of the foot. In the USA, I have… Full review

Montrail Men's Torre GTX

rated 1.5 of 5 stars Comfortable at first if a bit narrow for my feet. Toe box blew out fast as a result. One of the eyes pulled through the leather. Found the boots to be more comfortable with two lowest sets of eyelets left unthreaded and unlaced. Dangerously slippery on wet surfaces, and I mean seriously dangerous, just walking on wet metal grates in the street or wet wooden decking. I have literally fallen flat on my back like in cartoons by just casually hopping onto a deck wet with dew in the morning! Got these… Full review

Fabiano Trionic

rated 5 of 5 stars Twenty plus years, still comfortable, still working well. I bought a pair of these boots over twenty years ago for a semester long NOLS course. By the end of the course, I was the only student that didn't, at one point or another, end up with blisters or other foot problems. They served through snow, over some terrible broken terrain in New Mexico, in the Chihuahuan Desert.  Twenty plus years later, I still own them and they are the most comfortable boot I've even owned. Herman Men's Survivor

rated 2 of 5 stars Bought the pull-on work boots. Sole has cracked on both, less than 2 months old. Bought the pull-on Herman Survivor boots. Two months old and the sole is completely cracked to the point I cannot wear them now. Can I return them to exchange for another pair? Or will Walmart just say...it's your problem? Full review
