Alpine Light Down Parka

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Warm and light, this is a great down jacket for shoulder season use — very good bargain too! This is my go-to down jacket for shoulder season use; it's usually too warm for summer use and there are plenty of lighter options. With over 4 ounces of 800 down, this jacket is warm! Not sure where the original review came from, but mine in size Large is 12.8 oz, pretty svelte for such a warm jacket. The hood is nicely cut and adjustable.  Two nice zippered pockets that are lined w/ fleece. I really… Full review

EX Light Down Anorak

rated 4.5 of 5 stars While simple in design and weighs little, the Mont-bell Down Anorak is unexpectedly warm when needed. The jacket packs down small, taking up minimal space and then fluffs up quickly to regain loft when you are ready for it. Its light weight and small packed size make it a great addition for a weight-conscious hiker looking to reduce what they carry. Background: The anorak was used during the fall and early winter for hikes, camping trips and walks from the coast to the desert country of eastern… Full review

U.L. Down Inner Pants

rated 4.5 of 5 stars So warm and light, there's no reason to leave them at home! I was looking to extend my backpacking season beyond just summer, and wanted to add a warm lower layer to my kit. And in the never-ending quest to lighten my backpacking load, it also had to be lightweight. Having had a MontBell UL Inner Down Jacket for several years, and loving it, I naturally looked at this layer. When I found it on sale, I went for it. Even though I have short legs, the pants fit quite nicely, with elastic cuffs at the… Full review

Down Hugger 900 #5

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The MontBell Down Hugger 900 #5 38F sleeping bag is a high quality, super comfortable, accurately rated, very compressible, and lightweight option for anyone in the market for a new bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone who is looking to upgrade their bag, or simply shed some weight off of their pack load. This is one bag that you will not be disappointed by. This product was provided by Montbell for testing by the Trailspace Review Corps. Initial Impressions: When I removed the bag from its… Full review

Tachyon Anorak

rated 4 of 5 stars Ultra light wind shirt, great protection, folds up tiny, not superb on breathability. Construction: I can be short with this review — The Tachyon anorak is one of the lightest, if not the lightest, wind shirts on the market. A size Large weighs in at 69 grams.  It folds up the size of a kiwi.  The (very) thin ballistic nylon the Tachyon is made of is very strong. I have worn this for two years, weekly. Not a rip or frayed piece of fabric. Only some discolouration from dirt etc. A friend of… Full review
