U.L. Spiral Down Hugger #1

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Tucking into this bag is akin to snuggling up to a cloud. The -15° rating is no lie, and it easily packs down smaller than a milk jug. This is a super lofty bag with nicely baffled zippers and entrance and a soft, brushed material that has held up to the few snags I've managed to put it through over the years. The stretch of the spiral baffles is a plus for us fetal sleepers, or even sitting cross legged. Everyone I've shared my tent with has been jealous of its obvious coziness and I can sleep… Full review

Chameece Inner Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A very nice lightweight fleece garment. I'm a big fan of lightweight fleece garments. They breathe well, are warm (even damp), dry quickly (can be wrung out if necessary), and are relatively inexpensive. When I'm on the move and need a mid-layer to warm up, it's extremely tough to beat a lightweight fleece—especially in damp conditions. The Montbell Chameece Jacket is one of the lightest fleece jackets I've found—8.6 oz in Men's Large. Full zip w/ one zipped upper chest pocket. You can save… Full review

U.L. TEC Down Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars This is an older jacket I just picked up very lightly used from the original owner. I will update this review once I can get an honest cold weather review. This is my first high quality down jacket as the lightweight / ultralight bug has bitten me, though as the original owner informed me that this no longer qualifies as ultralight as age plays a big role in such things. This seems to be a scarce jacket online as there are very few reviews and little real world chatter.  Full review

EX Light Down Anorak

rated 5 of 5 stars Super light at only 180g for a men's large. With 900 FP down it is also very warm. Very packable, compresses to the size of a softball. Gives me the opportunity to leave much heavier mid layers at home. Fit and comfort are great, half zipper allows easy putting on and taking off. Elastic on cuffs and drawstring on the waist keeps the cold drafts out. There is no drawstring on the hood, but it is well fitting and keeps the warmth in. A bit pricey, but aren't all lightweight packable down jackets? Full review

Thermawrap Pro Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A well constructed, all-around jacket for layering under a hardshell or wearing standalone. Eliminates having to worry about changing and wet conditions. My Thermawrap Pro hooded jacket is a relatively lightweight and warm jacket when worn by itself or layered under a shell. Montbell's Exceloft holds its loft even after being repeatedly stuffed into a compression sack. I haven't experienced cold spots. In fickle Midwest winters, the Thermawrap Pro has a dual personality... keeping me warm in deep,… Full review
