Gaiters and Trail Runners?

Hi All,
I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a good gaiter for trail running shoes- I havent gone the gaiter route before for running shoes/hiking shoes, and am in need of some direction! Are gaiters even a viable option for shoes?

I hike in my trail runners (5-45 mile trips) in mainly dry conditions, outside of a creek or river (or rain) here or there- if there is a decent snow pack I hang the shoes up and pull out the hiking boots. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

THANK YOU!!
Kim

outdoor research rocky mountain low or flex-tex low. i use the rocky mountain low with trail runners. mountain hardwear nutshell are nice also. i have never used them but have observed them several times. the main difference i see is the outdoor research have an elastic top where the mountain hardwear have a strap to tighten on the top.
