How a Climbing Rope is Made and the Science Behind the Safety

Safety is very important in rock climbing, as everyone already should know.  However, when one sees the gear ratings, strength ratings and impact forces, it's easy to get hung up on what they mean and why they are important.  In my post, I found a video by Joe Kinder of how climbing ropes are made and have done some research on impact force ratings and why that number on your rope is important.
