Nimal Purja is a Nepali man who served with UK special forces, a former Gurkha.  Purja took the viral photo of climbers in a long queue on Everest in May.

To put this in perspective, the existing 'record' for climbing all fourteen 8000 meter peaks most quickly was seven years ten months. Also, his team rescued other climbers on Annapurna and Kanchenjunga at very high altitude. Purja climbed with supplemental oxygen; considering the toll this had to have taken, not surprising.

It's an amazing accomplishment.
