picked up a pair of black diamond power stretch gloves on sale.  goat leather palm and index finger makes them a lot more usable in the cold.  the index finger tip allows smartphone use too and really works.  question: how do you wash these things? can goatskin go in the washing machine, or is does the leather mean hand wash only? can't see anything helpful on black diamond's website.

thanks.

I have always used nixwax paste on any soft leather gloves. Think it's ok to wash just air dry though. I have a pair of BD guide finger gloves that are going 4 yrs strong.

If I were you I'd find my local Tack store (place where they sell horse riding gear) they will be able to help you out as they deal with so much leather goods they know their stuff and you can take the gloves with you so they can see what their dealing with.

ehow.com has a good article about cleaning goat skin gloves at home.

To clean leather I always used Lexol products.
