Heal pocket prevention

I just bought a new pair of Scarpa sl backpacking boots. After a month use they are already starting to wear through the material on the heal creating a heal pocket ( that's what killed my last pair of boots ).

Is there an insert out there that I could put in  or should I just use something like Gorilla Tape to prevent it from becoming larger.

Anyone out there have a different hack or trick .

Paul

A month in, I would probably send them back. That seems unusually short for an issue to come up. I use superfeet and they seem to hold up well.

I bought them last winter on an online pro-deal so ???

But on a positive note I used Gorilla tape to cover the small hole at the heal

A month ago It seems to be working really well .
