Has anyone had experience with coating a thinned down GE silicone over polyurethane on nylon? Are there issues with it adhering? Thanks-

I used Coleman fuel as a thinner at a 1 to 3 parts by weight ratio. It brushed on well and dried quickly. Initially I applied it to a small test area, let dry overnight and gave it a good scrape test with a fingernail and found it was well adhered. The mix was applied over fresh Kenyon Recoat 3 polyurethane coating that had cured for several days. I like the 1:3 ratio. When I tested a 1:2 mix or the preferred ratio began to thicken, the coating didn't brush well, seemed overly thick, took longer to dry and far more brush strokes were visible. Time and use will be the true test so no guarantees here and I suggest proceeding with caution with your own experimentation.
