When a stake loops my Tarptent Moment DW pulled loose in a 55 mph. gust I knew I needed to remove all of them and start over.

After unstitching the stake loops from the fly hem I had some Tenacious Tape and cut 2" circles of the tape.

I placed the tape over the fly hem is 1/2 of the circle one  the outside and the other 1/2 on the inside.

Then I lightly stitched the loops in place on the reinforcing tape and had a tailor friend bar tack them.

Now I have a lot more confidence that it will be the stakes that let loose first, not the stake loops.
