Sure, this is a frivolous topic, but I don't care.

There are a lot to choose from. I kind of like the Arc'teryx bird fossil, for example. Some logos, I just don't understand. Examples: Rab has a couple of banana-peel looking things before the name (I guess they are supposed to be mountains?). Mystery Ranch has a symbol that looks like it belongs on a new age storefront.  love their gear, but guys, get a more interesting brand/nameplate.

I'll offer two:

first, i like the logo that Wild Things Gear came up with to replace the old font it used, which reminded me of scooby doo cartoons:

second, REI's always-morphing logo has had some interesting iterations.  this one is busy but fun:

Re: what is your favorite outdoor gear logo?

I seem to notice The North Face and its Half Dome logo the most, liked them since I owned a lot of their gear in the 80s. They replaced my goretex rain pants after almost 20 years of use and my VE24s rainfly after 27 years of use via warranty. And repaired some boots I had used and abused after many winters of use.

Re: what is your favorite outdoor gear logo?

I have a number of items from Wild Things that have done very well over the years. So it was with a bit of surprise when the first Tesla's appeared with a logo that is surprisingly similar at a glance to the WT one (I live in Palo Alto, where the Teslas first came into existence and have become one of the most-seen autos on the streets)

No, I don't own a Tesla. The 2 family motorized vehicles are 13 and 10 yo and running great, plus the 7 bicycles (1 being a tandem)

I have some of the old REI logos on sleeping bags. They are busy but remind me of the NW. My favorite though is an old Bergan's rucksack with an external frame. I don't have a photo of it right now, but it shows two hikers, one clearly in distress and the other fresh and standing upright Under the distressed person in Norwegian as i recall, it says "without" and under the other it says, "with".

My favorite logo comes from the 1980's. It is the logo of the now defunct, innovative gear company Early Winters out of Seattle.

I like simple and distinctive ones that don't need words or letters, so Mountain Hardwear and Black Diamond.

I'm in revolt of being an advertising billboard. Why should we have to pay for their advertising? They have a damn nerve. However, I'll accept a subtle logo, small and essentially colorless. Beyond that, corporations provide a crass display of their character.

More logos I find acceptable due to not looking like a billboard. I also like the MSR logo.

Older EMS logo on the upper left sleeve of a Thunderhead rain jacket.

Current EMS logo on the left chest of a newer Thunderhead rain jacket. (2nd pic to show overall size and lack of flash.)

And on a pair of Thunderhead rain pants.

It is best not to have logos.  I do like the old REI logo from 1970 shown by andrew. In those days it meant something.

Land of the noonday sun.

I wore a NOC hat for years.  A few years ago I lost it in Afghanistan (Land of the Not Quite Right).  It was my favorite hat.

"Land of the Not Quite Right"... I'm still laughing on that!

Love the beard with the bare chin in the pic! My wife gives me grief every single time I try it!

Mutton chops.  I've worn them twice in my life.  Occasionally a full beard too.  I hate shaving, but a beard requires as much hassle as shaving so these days I just shave once every week or two whether I need it or not.

That's my new favorite hat.  Bought it in Afghanistan shortly after losing my NOC hat.

As far as logos go, this one is my favorite.

Warren started a page on his website for logos.
