What's up. Some people like the idea of making their own gear and some don't. I picked up the Tarp kit from ripstop by the roll for the Winter 12 and absolutely love it. Unfortunately, now they have a pre cut kit. Cutting was the hardest part. Anyway, this tarp has doors on either end and you can select what material you want. It also comes with all of the hardware needed (with the exception of hardware needed to hang it). I have done a video showing the tarp and how I hang it. It's not the best video, I admit that, however, it does show how easy it is to set up and take down. My entire system weighs in at 20 oz, that includes all guy lines, caribiner, amsteel, and loop alien. Overall, it didn't take too long to sew, and this was one of my early sewing projects.

I have uploaded a follow up video to this one, showing up close how I personally use the Loop Alien. It is a short video, but in reality, it doesn't take long when using the loop alien. Check it out and let me know what you think.
