My wonderful wife and I got a chance to day hike in the Shenandoah on our way to visit my son in college. A couple of shots from several days of rain...the new cap dried out quickly!

Looks good, Phil!

It's always nice when you can squeeze in a hike or other activity on a trip.

Solo is always nice, but family trips are always nicer! Those look like springtime smiles; happy to be out there. Thanks for taking TS along with you :)

Just a reminder if you hike a NP...and you like the trails...say something to someone. A little Trail Crew love goes a long way!

Thanks folks.  It was a nice break even though we had to limit to day hiking.  Bob- I not only always thank a trail crew when I see one, but also try to give away snacks (especially Snickers and Peanut M&Ms) to them when I can even if it means tightening up on the snacking the last day (although I always carry extra food the chocolate gets scarce!).
