Hey all,

My family is beginning a journey in about a week. We are heading from Southern Utah to Northern Utah. We have no real plans just a nice vacation for a few weeks before we settle in to our new home. I am looking for suggestions on dispersed (free) camping area's in between Capital reef (our first stop) and Logan. Any sweet fishing spots would be great to know as well.

Fish Lake NF has lots of great spots. If you go up 25 past the marina and campgrounds and keep following FR640 you'll come to Johnson Reservoir. 640 becomes FR036 and follows the Fremont River back to the southeast. Other than posted areas you can set up pretty much anywhere out there in the national forest.

Beautiful area, but skeeters are thick and hungry.

Have you ever been in the Uintas? I would go there and look for moose.

I love the Uintahs!!  They are part of the reason why I'm getting out of this desert.
