My route from Tucson to Key West via Onthegomap.com

I plan to head first down to Tombstone and Bisbee AZ then east across New Mexico, and down to Big Bend TX, then to Brownsville, Corpus Christie and New Orleans, then to Florida.

Once in Florida I plan to use Rails to Trails to Key Largo.

And then down the R2T's 106 mile bike route to Key West.

I hope to get to Key West by sometime in April, then  after there head up the east coast to Maine, then west to Washington state and down the Pacific Coast Highway to southern California and back to Tucson by Thanksgiving or Halloween.

I may have a friend who pedaled down from Flagstaff with me in October go, but won't know till later in January.

An intersting route Gary.  I used to go to Florida every year when I lived on the East Coast. Key West is a great place, but watch out for the spring breakers. It can get pretty crowded in April.

Old men who have been free for 41 years change minds. After looking how dry and barren west Texas is I have decided not to go. I applied at the Grand Canyon to work and/or go back to Colorado this summer, to Grand Junction this time, home of the Colorado Nat. Monument.
