Two 16 Day Trips

For those interested, they can check out my latest wilderness forays into the TN and NC mountains.  The first is a trip called "16 Days to the Green Cove Cabin". (July-August 2013)

The second is "16 Days with Bryan Delay". (August-Sept 2013)

Tipi,

what do you add to your bananas when you dehydrate them? Do you let them ripen a little before you dehydrate them. Seems to me they get sweeter the riper they get

Hey Ewker---I don't dry (or eat) my bananas unless they are fully ripe with no green.  Nothing is added as once ripe bananas are dried they are very sweet and excellent, the perfect trail food.

Tipi,

we have dried bananas before and have put a little cinnamon on them. I like them when they are a little chewy. The ones you get in the store can break a tooth..lol

Thank you very much for your reports, I love them. Is there any chance you might share your spinach nugget recipe?

ditto

Tipi,

Always enjoy your trip reports.  Thanks for all of the trail maintenance in the Citico Wilderness lately.  Last weekend I hiked up NF Citico, camped on Bob's Bald, and then returned down SF Citico.  All of your hard work made my hike a lot more enjoyable...especially through the briar section on the SF.

Great trip reports, and thanks for all the trail work you do.  Maybe someday I'll get down that way and hike a few of those trails; it sure is a beautiful area.
