I'm not sure I'd given this 5 stars if I'd paid full price. Despite its apparent excellent build quality, there's really not much to it; just a single layer pullover. But, what it does, it does pretty well.

I bought this primarily for an outer layer on cooler biking days. Two days after I got it, I was out in the low 40's with gusting winds and intermittent rain, wearing the Gamma LT over a Marmot Windshirt and a synthetic shortsleeve T. I was plenty warm (due to the Windshirt), even to the point of having to vent from time to time by making use of the LT's zip front. Just a few degrees warmer, or maybe with no wind, and it would have been fine just over a t-shirt.

Its stretch panels and gusseted underarms make the jacket very comfortable while leaning over the handlebars. There were no coverage problems in the back and plenty of length in the arms. In fact, I think its stretchiness would make a good golf jacket.

Like every non-hardshell, it sacrifices some wet protection for the sake of breathability but it's a good trade-off.

For cooler biking, running, and day hiking, most folks will find this a welcome addition to their closet. Never tried it under a pack or on rocks. This is light, thin (but very comfortable) material. It will be interesting to read other reviews speaking to the issue of its durability in those circumstances.

As with almost all Arc'teryx stuff, its fit is "Athletic, though not severely so. The collar has some sort of soft, fuzzy surface that enhances comfort. A nice finishing touch.

All in all, a nice little windbreaker. Not sure its worth the full freight but for anything under $100, it's a good value.
