Asolo Power Matic 500 GV

Bought two pairs of this boot and both pairs began delaminating on first backpacking use. It's hard to understand, Asolo usually makes a solid boot, but these just didn't hold up. The tow guard begins to peel off pretty easily and a sloppy glue job on the soles caused them to pull off in spots. Minor de-lamination but still ridiculous for the first time out.

I returned both pairs. But for those of you still considering them, they protect your feet well and are fully waterproof. Very sturdy footbed that helps on rocky terrain and downhills, but the full shank doesn't allow the boot to bend much, so it can be awkward to walk in at first. They are a bit heavy and clunky as well.

Very stiff, long break in time is needed.
