Great concept, but two bottles were ejected from my cages within first four rides. End caps where threads are welded to main body split on impact making bottle useless.

Pros

  • Cleaning

Cons

  • Construction
  • Durability

I was excited about these bottles. I bought two of the insulated versions for my road bike.

I rode over some bumpy pavement (South Jersey roads) and poof, my bottle hits the pavement. When I picked it up I noticed leaking just under where the lid screws on. The body of the bottle is plastic welded to the end and it leaked at that seam, not where the end or the cap screw on. This rendered the bottle useless.

I threw that bottle away and still had a second one—the same thing happened. This time the whole bottom weld split making that bottle useless too.

Two bottle useless in the matter of a week—this to me is a trend and I would not recommend these bottles as a result.

I backpack too. I’d be a little concerned about a bottle falling out of my backpack and hitting rocks or pavement with the same results.
