Coleman Tioga Tent 12' x 8'

My wife purchased this tent in '05 from Big Lots. She was worried at first because Big Lots doesn't always have quality goods but the tent was brand new and all seams were intact.

This tent has served our family well. We use it at least 2-3 times a year in multiple camping conditions. I'm 6'0 and I can stand straight up in the Tioga! The tent is very roomy inside and 4 adults can sleep comfortably on twin sized airbeds. 5 adults do fit inside but then it's sleeping bag capacity only and my wife insists on bringing the airbeds. If you need to stuff 5 people inside, be sure no one has to leave in the middle of the night otherwise people are getting stepped on!

The dual doors make the most sense. I haven't found a Coleman since this model that has 4 windows and 2 doors like this one. If the windows are zipped up at night, heavy condensation will form so we keep one window open. When we camp at the beach we can open both door windows and get a nice breeze.

Setup is easy. There are only 3 main poles, all the same length, you can't go wrong. One person can set up in 15 mins flat. Carrying case is ample and overall the tent is lightweight compared to Coleman's newer models.

Sweep it out before you pack up and stow it in a dry place and this thing will last you for years. Home away from home!
