Darn Tough Quarter Lightweight

rated 4 of 5 stars
photo: Darn Tough Quarter Lightweight hiking/backpacking sock

Darn Tough is what they are...Tight woven wool socks with a lifetime warranty. I have had other wool socks but none have held up like these. The two pairs I have are 11 years old and still perform perfectly. They are durable, warm, form fitting.

Pros

  • Lifetime warranty
  • Comfortable
  • Supported with extra weave where it needs to be
  • Form fitting

Cons

  • Price—they're not cheap
  • Slight pilling

These socks are tightly woven and seem thin. Most people were used to old really thick wool socks. Darn Tough puts the extra weave in the bottom of the foot where all the impact is.

These are some of the most comfortable wool socks I have had. I have had this pair going on 11 years.

As you can see some piling due to the dryer.
