Eagle Industries 3-Day Assault Pack

rated 4.0 of 5 stars

This is an overbuilt military-style front panel-loading pack with a built-in hydration bladder pocket. Construction is superb, as it is for all Eagle products: 1,000-denier Cordura and the largest self-repairing zippers. I carried it for 1 month on several trips to the American West and Eastern Seaboard states. Holds enough gear for a full three days. The black model blends well with most airport luggage. Design is triangular-shaped, to put the weight on the hips via a padded hip belt; but this design tends to pull the straps off the shoulder unless the hip belt is used. Gave it to a friend and bought a North Face Big Shot, which works better for me.
