Ultra light yet ultra strong liquid storage tube. Secure screw top over a small opening that allows for controlled, directed squeezing. Great for folks who are counting grams whether used for stove alcohol, sunscreen, or squeezable fluids. Perfect for those things you only want to carry in small portions.

Made of a soft, pliable LLDPE with a tightly sealed, screw top cap the Easy Traveler 1.5oz Squeeze Tube is a no-frills container that lets you safely carry liquids in small quantities. As the name implies, it holds 1.5 fluid ounces while weighing in at a mere 7g/0.25oz when empty.

This tube is great for carrying things like soap or cooking oils and could be used to carry stove alcohol for those who are really carrying light and only need a few ounces. I have used a larger size made of the same materials to hold alcohol for preheating my MSR Whisperlite on cold weather trips. The alcohol has been in that tube for over 365 days and both tube and fuel are in good condition.

Leaks are of course a big concern no matter what type of liquid you are carrying. Despite my natural tendency to mistrust things that could make a big mess I have come to have faith this tube will not leak. I have squeezed the tube as hard as I can with one hand without the top popping off or liquid leaking out. I have found that neither temperature nor altitude change have created enough pressure to cause a leak.

This cap design is why I believe the seal is so dependable. You can see how the spout fits deeply into the corresponding cap seal so contents can't seep out as pressure serves to make the seal tighter.

The one potential drawback to this container is that even if you remove the cap entirely the tube itself has only a tiny opening. While I'm sure this adds to the integrity of the cap seal under pressure, it also makes filling the tube a challenge. These tubes are designed as part of a larger kit that includes a syringe for filling the containers so using something like that would be the obvious solution.

I have been able to fill the tube with alcohol and olive oil simply by squeezing it to create a vacuum with the opening inverted into a cap full of fuel. That of course may not work as well with more viscous fluids like soap or sunscreen so a syringe would be helpful for getting some substances into the tube.

On the other hand that small opening allows for good control when squeezing the tube both in terms of how much comes out and where it goes. Those qualities are valuable when you don't want to waste a drop or make a mess. I've found this 1.5oz tube is perfect for carrying olive oil that I squirt into my dehydrated freezer bag meals or use for lubing up a fish before grilling it over the fire.

The only other potential negative is that so far as I know these are only available online, directly from Easy Traveler. My dealings with them have been fine over the years, but I know some folks prefer to touch things before they buy.

The Easy Traveler 1.5oz Squeeze Tube is roughly 3.75" tall, tapering from roughly 1.8" at the base to 1" at the cap and is pictured here with a full sized Bic lighter for reference. It weighs 7g/0.25oz when empty and is made from food safe LLDPE.

I can heartily recommend this storage tube because I have tested it extensively with great result. I have also used other products from Easy Traveler which have held up very well including one of their Easy Traveler 32oz Traveler bags which has now been in service for over 5 years and continues to be my main squeeze bag for use with my Sawyer Mini.
