rated 5 of 5 stars I purchased this pack in 1998 for a trip to Alaska and have now carried it about 700 miles, the longest single trip was 87 miles in five days. Due to the infinite adjustment of the suspension system and the capabilities of the horizontal compression system I must say this is the most comfortable pack I have ever worn -- the pack handles an 80 lb load as well as it does a 45 lb load (not me though). rated 3 of 5 stars A small company in Montana, Epperson is truly a throwback with this basic backpack. First of all, unless other packs I've owned were larger than advertised, this was way smaller than advertised. I bought two accessory holders for the sides and with all that, I still had to stuff every inch for a four-day backpack rock climbing exp. The pads and construction are solid, being sewn with care. The top compartment is small and I had a hard time lashing my pad. Overall, it's a nice pack but pretty limited… Full review
