Garuda Pattar

Although this is the first 4 season tent I have owned, I was really impressed by the engineering and workmanship that went into this tent. Byron Shutz has done a wonderful job of designing a tent that is totally bombproof. It's 4 poles for the tent and one for the vestibule make for easy set-up and provide a stable shelter. The vestibule alone was big enough to allow me and my boss at work to set in across from each other with enough room for cookin between us. The tent itself can easily hold more than 2 people. My guess is that you could get 3 maybe 4 in emergency.

Although this tent provides alot of room it may not be what people are looking for in a mountaineering tent. It is one of the first doulble walls put out by garuda. Being a double wall adds to the weight of the tent which may deter some people.
