Gerry Alpine sleeping bag still going strong!

Bought the Gerry Alpine sleeping bag at the Mountain House in San Francisco in 1961 (delightful woman who ran the shop back then). Been all over the Western US, including a couple years in Alaska. Not sure what the coldest night ever was, but there was one night with a recorded 4 degrees, and I was comfortable the night. Several nights in snow caves.

It has held up remarkably well. Only a small hand full of feathers have escaped, and the original zipper is still just fine. At the time, I believe it was just under $90, which my father thought was a huge price for a sleeping bag, but I consider it one of the best investments I have ever made!
