Great pockets, good space, but small straps (meant for a shorter/smaller person).
- Pockets on the exterior are roomy
- Size is perfect for daypack/travel
- Great name brand
- Color (but really...who cares? It'll get dirty anyhow)
- Fits small (but if you are small, it'll be fine)
First...I read a review that said this fits small (meant for a smaller woman or larger child) and that is true! That said, it fits me perfectly because I'm small.
So...I haven't actually filled/tried it yet, but it's exactly what I wanted style wise/pocket wise. Hard to find a daypack/travel pack with external pockets like I needed, but this has it at a great price! (Moosejaw has a killer deal on it as of 5/10/16)
FYI: I could find no photos of the inside,so I'll describe them to you: inside the front pocket is a small sleeve (think passport, maps, small book), two small mesh pockets (cash, gum, receipts, lip balm) and then the interior space itself (small book(s), wallet, etc). The smaller zipped top lid compartment is empty space (meaning "no pockets"), so great for snacks!! Then, the zippered lid opens and reveals an inner space that is big enough for daypack items (like small hammock, small cook set, small meals, jacket, clothes, etc) and a sleeve for hydration pack (and there is a port out the top for the tube, but it's tiny...might have to modify it to fit my hydration tube). Then, of course, you have side mesh pockets on the exterior for water bottles, and compression straps. Also...the back/straps are padded with some mesh to help with ventilation.
The shoulder straps are where the "small" part of this pack comes in. You can extend them to make them "longer", but then you put the chest strap much closer to your chin. I'm short, so it works for me, but a taller person will have issues.
