Hallmark Duo

The Hallmark Duos are still available as second hand tents, so this review has been written for anyone in the market. Until 1989, the Duos were single vestibule, single pole tents that were simple to erect and provided reliable shelter for two friends. The floors and fly were tough, and lasted many years of use. From 1989, the height of the Duo (which in the earlier models was good enough for an average sized person to sit erect in) was slightly dropped and a second vestibule was added (which made the tent a lot more practicable). I still use my 1989 tent, and it provides good three season protection. One possible deficiency is the low height of the sides (it's a modified "A" frame) which can seem to be just over your face for some sleepers. Recommended as a second hand tent, after the usual examination.
