Injinji makes some comfortable, durable merino wool socks that might just prevent you from getting a blister around your toes. For some people this is a real problem and these socks seem to solve the problem brilliantly.
I'm evaluating these socks against five other pairs of socks that I've worn over the last few years.
These socks look great and fit great—no excess, no bulging, no binding, just a great fit. The are comfortable right out of the packaging. They are super comfy once you get them on. It is a little difficult to put on these socks because one must fit each toe in each toe socket. After you get used to the process it is really not too bad. You might experience the same difficulty when taking the socks off your feet. And when washing the socks, I typically have to pull each of the little toe sockets out.
The socks have a decent amount of elastic and weaving to create a supportive feel. Out of all the socks I've worn, they seem to have the second best support out of the box.
They are not water resistant, but one of the benefits of these socks is that they are wicking and dry quickly. They hold up to hand wringing too, which is important when you need to wash them in the wilderness.
They are easy to use and easy to maintain/clean. I typically turn them inside out and throw them into the washer and then the dryer. No special treatment and they have held up to my expectations.
They do keep you warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot. The socks are woven tightly so they do not ventilate or breath as well as some other brand of socks. So ventilation is one tradeoff for the tighter weave and longer durability.
I bought these socks before embarking on a 200+ mile hike. I rotated them with my Darn Tough socks. They performed beyond my expectations. The only downside is that I bought a white pair, so they do show the grime when dirty.
Overall, a great pair of socks for daily use or outdoor use.
I rate these socks as the second best sock among the six socks that I am reviewing.
I've owned these socks for about four years and have used them over 100 days in the outdoors and probably 50 days for daily use.

I purchased a pair in sand color. My intent is for colder outdoor weather.
These are very much the same as Micros, but a little thicker. Easier to put on than the Micros and are warmer for the feet. The toe socks fit well inside the Vibram Five Fingers and I am satisfied with them.
I can still do a wide range of activities with them as well. The socks don't feel as tight fitting as the Micro's and less forming....so to speak.
All in all, I would still recommend these to those doing cold weather stuff for mild to moderate cold weather locales. I live in the south and don't have to put on heavy boots for deep snow. Obviously, these would not work in the colder climates.
